We created this video a little while back of the Alphabet District. A couple of the business have turned over since it was shot and have been replaced.

I went up to NW Creasp Lane this afternoon, successfully avoiding the rain.  I’d taken most my pictures and was talking to one of the builders when the trusses arrived which hastened my retreat.  We’ll preview the complete monthly Street of Dreams post with my parting shot (the truck has NW Skyline completely block while this shot was taken).

Street of Dream April 2010 Trusses

I got out of the shower a few days ago and there was a “pop” followed by a shower (no pun intended) of glass as the door exploded into bits no bigger than a fingernail. Not sure what caused it but pretty thankful that the  damage to me was limited to about a half dozen superficial cuts.

Additional March photos of the 2010 Street of Dreams site on NW Cresap Lane.

39th Avenue is now Cesar E. Chavez. Sign replacement is in progress.

I took this while stopped on NW 23rd. Traffic has reopened to two way
traffic between Everett and Lovejoy.

Northwest Portland should be getting a better signal soon. Workers are
installing antennas at the corner of NW 25th & Lovejoy.

The top car misses the ceiling by about six inches.

NW 23rd is under construction but the shops are open for business.  The shops are also doing a Third Thursday.
